Dedication

10-19-2011

Last weekend three girlfriends and I took a trip to Niagara-on-the-lake in Canada. A girl’s only weekend, full of wine tasting, shopping, and eating. Saturday morning, I woke up feeling a little sad that I was missing the neighborhood yard sales back home, at West Point Military Academy, so on the way out of the coffee shop I spotted a classified section of the local Canada paper. I spotted about eight garage sales, and convinced my girlfriends, to try to find them. Of coarse, they rolled their eyes at me, because they know that garage sales are ALWAYS on my mind. We got a late start, it was already 10:00 am, way too late to be arriving at the first sale of the day, but I did not care, I was getting my “fix” and that is all that mattered.

I did manage to pick up these interesting jars, that I just love. They were four for $1.00 which I thought was a steal. I love that they say “Crown” and “Canada”on them what a lovely souvenir, and just the right price. I have not decided exactly what I am going to do with them, but I was thinking since my upstairs bathroom theme is crowns, that I might tie some brown raffia twine around them, and fill them with cotton balls, and q-tips. I also got a few other glass jars, that I’m thinking of filling with candy for Halloween.

I ended up sharing the jars with two of my friends, because they liked them so much.

The only thing more fun than garage sailing in your neighborhood is garage sailing on vacation.

Here, they are; I found these cute little flowers at Michael’s 3.99 with 40% off. Total spent on jars, under $3.00
